AI search optimisation (GEO)

Get your brand recommended in ChatGPT and AI search

Shoppers are asking ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI Mode what to buy. I help luxury and premium ecommerce brands make sure those answers include them, describe them accurately and link to the right products.

Your products are already in AI search. The question is how they're described.

Eligible Shopify stores now sync product data to ChatGPT, Copilot and the Shop app automatically. Google is folding AI answers into more and more searches. You didn't opt in, but you're already part of it.

When your titles, attributes and product details are thin, AI fills the gaps with guesses. Or it skips you and recommends the brand whose data is cleaner. Nothing breaks, so you never get an alert.

Generative engine optimisation (GEO) is about fixing that. Clear product data, content AI can quote with confidence, and a brand presence across the sources these models trust.

What I do

What GEO work actually involves

Plenty of AI search advice is guesswork. This is grounded in how the platforms ingest product data and pick sources.

AI visibility audit

I test the prompts your customers use across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Mode, and show you where you appear, where competitors do and what's being said.

Product data and feeds

Titles, attributes, materials, sizing and descriptions structured so AI shopping tools can match your products to real questions.

Structured data

Product, Organisation, FAQ and review markup that gives AI systems unambiguous facts about your brand and catalogue.

Citable content

Buying guides, comparisons and care pages written to be quoted, so your site becomes a source, not just a destination.

Off-site brand signals

Reviewing the press, retailers and forums AI leans on, and finding gaps where your brand is missing or misdescribed.

Tracking and reporting

Ongoing monitoring of AI visibility and referral traffic, so you can see whether the work is paying off.

Almost two decades in search

I've been through every major Google shift since the early days. AI search is the biggest yet, and the fundamentals still matter.

Tracking for luxury clients now

I run AI visibility tracking for luxury clients including Orlebar Brown, so the advice comes from live data, not theory.

How it works

How a GEO project runs

  1. A short call

We talk through your store, your goals and what's been tried before. If I'm not the right person, I'll tell you and point you somewhere better.

  2. An AI visibility audit

I run your priority prompts across the main AI platforms, review your product data and structured data, and benchmark you against competitors.

  3. A clear, prioritised plan

You get a written plan ordered by impact and effort, with tickets your developers or agency can pick up straight away. No 200-page deck.

  4. Implementation and ongoing support

Every new client starts with an 8-week, no-obligation period, so we can both check the fit before committing. After that, it's a retainer or a fixed project, whichever suits you.

Is this a good fit?

A good fit if

  • You sell premium products online, especially on Shopify
  • You've noticed AI tools describing your brand oddly, or not at all
  • You want a plan grounded in data rather than hype
  • You already have the SEO basics in place, or want them fixed at the same time

Probably not right if

  • You're looking for a trick to game ChatGPT overnight
  • You don't have control over your product data or site
  • You want AI-generated content at scale

Who you'd be working with

Hi, I'm Roxi

I've spent almost 20 years in SEO and performance marketing, a lot of it in-house and alongside luxury brands like Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Versace, Belstaff and Bally. These days I run Odessa as a founder-led consultancy, so there are no account managers or juniors between us. You talk to me, and I do the work.

Most of my client work now includes AI search alongside traditional SEO, because the two rely on the same foundations: clean data, a clear site and content worth citing.

Questions people usually ask

What is GEO?

GEO stands for generative engine optimisation. It's the work of making sure AI systems like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Mode understand your brand and products and include you in their answers.

Is GEO different from SEO?

They overlap a lot. Good technical SEO, clear product data and useful content help both. GEO adds a focus on structured product feeds, how answers are generated, and the third-party sources AI models rely on.

Can you guarantee my brand will appear in ChatGPT?

No one honestly can. What I can do is remove the things stopping you from being recommended and track how your visibility changes over time.

Does this matter if most of my traffic still comes from Google?

Yes, because Google is now one of the biggest AI search platforms. AI Overviews and AI Mode use the same signals, so the work helps your Google visibility too.

How do you measure AI visibility?

I track a set of priority prompts across platforms, along with AI referral traffic in your analytics, so you can see share of voice and actual visits.
