Shopify SEO consultant
I'm a senior Shopify SEO consultant working with luxury and premium brands like Orlebar Brown, Anya Hindmarch and House of Hackney. I find what's holding your store back in Google and AI search, then help your team fix it in the right order.
Founder-led. You work with me directly, not a junior account team.
Brands I work with, or have worked with
Out of the box, Shopify creates duplicate product URLs, thin collection pages, bloated apps and a URL structure you can't fully control. None of it breaks the site, so nobody notices until organic traffic stalls.
Most Shopify SEO advice is written for small stores or by app companies who want you to install something. Premium brands have a different problem: a beautiful site with very little that search engines can actually rank.
That's the gap I work in. Technical fixes that respect your design, and content that reads like your brand while still matching how people search.
What I do
Every engagement starts with an audit, then we focus on the handful of changes that will move revenue.
Crawl, indexation, canonicals, duplicate product paths, faceted navigation, site speed and app bloat. Prioritised and written as dev-ready tickets.
Collections are where most non-brand traffic comes from. I map keywords to collections, plan new ones and write copy that fits your tone.
Titles, descriptions, structured data and attributes that help Google, Shopping and AI assistants understand exactly what you sell.
Moving to Shopify or Shopify Plus, merging markets or changing domains. Redirect mapping and launch QA so you keep the visibility you've built.
Subfolders vs domains, hreflang, currency and translated content set up for Shopify Markets without cannibalising your own pages.
Making sure ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity describe and recommend your products correctly, using the same product data Shopify now syncs to them.

How it works
We talk through your store, your goals and what's been tried before. If I'm not the right person, I'll tell you and point you somewhere better.
I go through your store, Search Console, analytics and competitors to find the issues and the opportunities. You'll know where the traffic is and what's in the way.
You get a written plan ordered by impact and effort, with tickets your developers or agency can pick up straight away. No 200-page deck.
Every new client starts with an 8-week, no-obligation period, so we can both check the fit before committing. After that, it's a retainer or a fixed project, whichever suits you.
Who you'd be working with
I've spent almost 20 years in SEO and performance marketing, a lot of it in-house and alongside luxury brands like Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Versace, Belstaff and Bally. These days I run Odessa as a founder-led consultancy, so there are no account managers or juniors between us. You talk to me, and I do the work.
I currently consult for Chanel UK and Canada, Orlebar Brown, House of Hackney, Anya Hindmarch and With Nothing Underneath, most of them on Shopify. The same practical approach goes into every store I work on.
I diagnose why your store isn't getting the organic traffic it should, then give you a prioritised plan and help your team implement it. That covers technical issues, collection and product pages, content, internal linking and, increasingly, how AI assistants see your products.
With an agency you usually meet a senior person at the pitch and then work with someone junior. Odessa is founder-led, so the person auditing your store and making the recommendations is me.
Yes. Most of the brands I work with are on Shopify Plus, often running multiple markets or storefronts.
Both. I write dev-ready tickets for your team or agency, and I can make content and on-page changes directly in Shopify where that's quicker.
Technical fixes can show up within weeks. Ranking for competitive non-brand terms usually takes three to six months, depending on where you're starting from.
It depends on the size of the store and how much support you need. Audits are fixed price and retainers are scoped to your goals. Book a call and I'll give you a clear figure.
Tell me a bit about your brand and where you want to grow. I'll take a look before we speak, so the call is useful even if we don't end up working together.
I reply to every enquiry myself, usually within one working day.
